Pramod is a talented tabla player who is a well known percussionist, composer and a popular singer of Nepal. Pramod started learning with his father a renowned tabla player Pt. Hom Nath Upadhyaya. He had also an opportunity to spend some time in Bombay, India learning with Ustad Zakir Hussain. His first public performance in Nepal as a Tabla Soloist was at the age of 5 in the auditorium of Royal Nepal Academy in front of Late King Birendra Bir Bikram Shah. His first abroad tour was for the German Unification Day in Germany. In 1995 he performed for Nepal Festival in Lausanne, Switzerland. Beside that he have already travelled France, USA, Singapore, Hong Kong, Uzbekistan (world music competition), Korea, Pakistan (SAARC Summit) and India for the musical performance. Pramod is affiliated with Sukarma since last 5 years and at present joined as a permanent member of the group.
